A Tasting of Trailblazing Wines
from the Languedoc!
Following our annual wine trip to France in March we’ve chosen 8 exciting new wines – 4 whites and 4 reds – to share with you. This will take the form of a tutored wine tasting, illustrated with slides of the vineyards and the growers.
We’ve got exciting white wines made from indigenous white varieties such as the Carignan Blanc and Roussanne, groundbreaking reds made from Pinot Noir, Touring Nacional and Nebbiolo, and some class-leading wines from Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre! And each wine accompanied by the fascinating story of the growers.
Two of the reds are winners of the much-coveted Coup de Coeur from Guide Hachette, and are now eye-wateringly expensive!
Tickets are only £12 per person and guests are welcome.
It’s a great way to share some brilliant new wines with some excellent company from the York Medical Society. There will be an opportunity to order some of the wines at the tasting.
Join us at 23 Stonegate on Friday 24 May at 7.30 pm
