Description

We discovered the wines of this marvellous vineyard for the the first time this Spring and the 2025 edition French wine bible, Guide Hachette, has awarded them numerous stars and a Coup de Coeur for their exciting wines.  We are now the sole importers of their wines in the UK!

Enjoy this gorgeous duo of wines from a sunny coastal vineyard near to Perpignan, ripened by Mediterranean sun in the day and cooled by sea breezes in the evening.

The wines have been carefully crafted by Marc Benassis, the talented 5th generation winemaker of this Roussillon estate, to marry both new and old winemaking techniques.

They’re perfect for alfresco dining, enjoy them in the sun with a BBQ or salad…

We are offering a Mixed Half Dozen of two wines:

Château des Hospices Gaïa Rosé 2024
AOP Côtes du Roussillon
This is a harmonious blend of 80% Grenache Noir and 20% Grenache Gris which is vinified at a cool temperature and then undergoes a process of “pneumatic lees stirring” by bubbling nitrogen into the tank for 3 months before bottling.
It is a pale onion skin colour – the palest rosé we’ve ever imported.  On the palate, it is a gorgeous mouthful of cherry, strawberry and raspberry with a great texture, perfect balance and finishing with a saline twist.  Totally delicious!

Château des Hospices Artémis 2024
AOP Côtes du Roussillon
This is a classic Roussillon blend of 60% Syrah, 20% Grenache and 20% Carignan.
It is a deep purple in colour and the Syrah dominates on the nose – wonderful fruit almost like a raspberry coulis.
On the palate it is very ripe, concentrated and bursting with flavours of blackberries and black cherries supported by ripe tannins and well-balanced acidity. It finishes long with a hint of liquorice.  Enjoy with a burger but even better with a good steak!
