Raquel, Ruben and Maria Pérez Cuevas are part of five generations of the Cuevas family to make wine in Rioja Baja. From mountain vineyards at 900 metres altitude in the Rioja Baja, this marvellous wine combines classic Rioja with a touch of modernity.
A blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Garnacha, it spends 12 months in 60% American oak and 40% French oak barrels (both old and new) followed by a further year in bottle before being released.
There is an inviting perfumed nose and in the mouth it has an almost Burgundian style with mature, complex flavours of Tempranillo fruit and subtle oak.
