This is from Waterkloof, the vineyard founded by Paul Boutinot in South Africa in 2004. They stick strictly to organic methods and are in the process of becoming biodynamic.
Unusually this is made from 100% Mourvèdre, the grape variety that defines the wines from the Provence appellation of Bandol.
It is a delicate pink colour with a lovely nose of raspberry and pomegranates. It has a gentle, silky mouthfeel with gorgeous soft red fruits, delicate balancing acidity and good length.
