This is made from 45-year old Syrah (50%) and 50-year old Grenache (30%) with some seasoning from Mourvèdre (20%). The grapes are destemmed and vinified in stainless steel, and then aged traditionally in concrete vats for ten months.
It is medium/deep purple in colour. Only bottled recently, there are fermentation aromas mixed with summer fruits. In the mouth it is soft and round, with black and red fruit flavours that will expand over the next month as the wine opens out after the bottling. At the moment it is a very gluggable and enjoyable summer red!
