This is a classic Roussillon blend of 60% Syrah, 20% Grenache and 20% Carignan.
It is a deep purple in colour and the Syrah dominates on the nose almost like a raspberry coulis. On the palate it is very ripe, concentrated and bursting with flavours of blackberries, black cherries supported by ripe tannins and well-balanced acidity. It finishes long with a hint of liquorice. This cries out for a good steak or leg of lamb!
