Smalltown Vineyards, Barossa Valley

The Black Craft Shiraz 2020
Barossa, South Australia

Made from 100% Shiraz, this wine is sourced from the finest available vineyard sites across the premium Northern Barossa Valley. It is fermented in open fermentors, then aged 11 months in a variety of oaks, all American and French, of which around 35% is new.

Deep purple in colour, it has an enticing nose of blackberries with a hint of vanilla pod. It is bursting with succulent, ripe blackberry fruit with a sprinkling of black pepper, but it is beautifully fresh – not a hint of jam.  There are soft tannins, good acidity, a touch of liquorice at the finish and great length. Totally seductive and fantastic value for this quality!

Good Luck Club Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Barossa, South Australia
This is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from 28-year old Barossa valley vines.  It is then aged for 24 months in a mix of new and 3-year-old oak barrels.

It is a deep purple in colour, and has a gorgeous nose of cassis and eucalyptus with a trace of cedar.  In the mouth it is silky with ripe, concentrated fruit abounding with cassis and summer pudding flavours and a hint of lead pencils. The tannins are soft and for all its concentration the wine is very elegant.  There is good length.  Deliciously easy to enjoy!
