A trio of Bordeaux reds from Château Lamothe-Vincent

£54.80

This family-run vineyard is situated in the gentle rolling hills of the pretty Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux, surrounded by copses of mature trees, and now boasts a state-of-the-art winery, producing award-winning Bordeaux wines for the contemporary palate.

This case contains two bottles of each of these wines:

Château Lamothe-Vincent Réserve Rouge 2019
AOP Bordeaux
A great blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc which is then aged for nine months in a combination of stainless steel and French oak barrels.
There is an inviting ripe, leafy Merlot nose, which leads into a satisfying mouthful of soft, rich cassis fruit, with a hint of spicy oak and very gentle tannin. It finishes with a long aftertaste. Decanter magazine has just awarded 95 points to this wine in the World Wine Awards! Outstanding value…

Château Lamothe-Vincent Intense Rouge, Medaille d’Or 2018
AOP Bordeaux
Fabien has changed the blend to 70% Merlot with 30% Petit Verdot, aged in French and American oak barrels.
It is deep in colour, with an intense nose of black fruits with hints of Rioja (the American oak influence), leading into a very concentrated, complex wine brimming with blackberry, damsons, dried figs, tobacco and liquorice with soft tannins at the finish.
Fantastic now but will develop in complexity over five years. Once again a Gold medal winner in Paris.

Château Lamothe Vincent Heritage 2019
AOP Bordeaux Supèrieur
This is made from old vines of 80% Merlot & 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in French oak for 12 months.
It is deep in colour, with hints of lead pencils and cedar on the nose, and is packed with soft blackcurrant and blackberry fruit.  It is rich, spicy, complex, velvety and very long. It is just starting to drink now and will develop well over the next couple of years.
A regular award-winner in the prestigious Guide Hachette!
